Start with the full guest list
Before comparing rates, note the number of adults, every child’s age and anyone who needs daytime rest or to avoid stairs. This gives the team a clearer basis for room advice than simply saying that you are travelling as a family.
Double or twin beds
The Zeit lists Superior Double Bed and Superior Twin Bed rooms. View the actual photographs and consider sleeping arrangements. Do not infer that one room accommodates everyone from the beds in a photograph: check occupancy and child conditions in the booking engine.
When you need two rooms
Ask the team to check nearby rooms before payment and explain which adults and children will share each room. Nearby-room requests depend on allocation for your dates. If connecting rooms are essential, obtain a separate confirmation.
Plan the day in small stages
Consider one morning outing, an afternoon rest and time at the café or beside the river in the evening. Leave a gap between swimming and meals and allow downtime for children or older relatives. The right room arrangement gives the whole day more flexibility.
