Your Time in Kanchanaburi

Two- and three-day ideas that leave room to slow down.

Bridge over the River Kwai, Kanchanaburi

MAKE IT YOUR OWN

2 days, 1 night

Day 1 · Town and a riverside pause

Begin at the River Kwai Bridge and consider the Thailand–Burma Railway Centre for context. Check in from 15:00, then make time for the café or pool before dinner in town.

Day 2 · Choose your pace

Enjoy a slow morning, or plan a visit to Wat Tham Suea in Tha Muang. Allow for check-out by 12:00. Arrange luggage storage and check-out with the hotel if leaving earlier for an outing.

MAKE IT YOUR OWN

3 days, 2 nights

Day 1 · Get to know the town

Choose the bridge, a museum and Pak Prak according to your interests, leaving the afternoon for check-in and rest.

Day 2 · Nature or the railway

Choose one full-day focus: Erawan Waterfall, or the railway and Tham Krasae. Avoid combining both into one rushed day. Check park notices or train times before setting out.

Day 3 · A café pause before leaving

Spend the morning at the hotel or choose one local stop. Check out by 12:00 and allow time for your onward journey.

These are suggested itineraries, not tour packages. Travel times and access vary. Hellfire Pass announced a temporary closure from 27 September 2026; check for a newer notice before adding it to your plans.
